As soon as an Shopfloor user sends an operation for First Off Inspection from the work queue, all users with a Quality role will be notified that a new FOI operation has been received. People can then easily communicate remotely using the Inspection Comments facility to minimise time spent progress chasing, with notifications alerting users of new requests or updates.
Seiki AIR is role orientated, which means that the role(s) and permissions that are assigned to a user when setting up their account ensures that they have access to all the tools and information they need to complete daily work activities.
All users that have been assigned a Quality role will have access to the same shared First Off Inspection queue and digital batch cards. When combined with a Shopfloor user role, you can also provide your inspection department team with a standard work queue of all routed inspection operations, eliminating the need for separate logins.
For traceability, each operation is stamped with the name of the user that completed the inspection, along with the date and time.
If a First Off Inspection is failed, the operator is prevented from completing the operation until it has been successfully passed.
With our Machine Monitoring module, as soon as an operation is sent for First Off Inspection, Seiki AIR can record the amount of time that machine is not in cycle whilst waiting for this activity to be completed. This data then contributes to your overall machine utilisation analysis, as well as the production history of the part – with the ability to drill down to the individual operation.
